Horseback Riding Camp 🌻🌞🌼
DenMar Farms Riding School facilitates a horseback riding day camp for it's riders, their friends & for other youth! Youth that want to try horseback riding, surrounded by nature & playing with DenMar's gentle and ever so sweet Mascots Aunt Mary & Rascal the Goats and simply outside enjoying all the other adventures the DenMar Farms Riding School has to offer!
Excitement, Experience, Friendships, Nature, Animals, Opportunity, Adventure!
Geared for beginner - advanced youth, camp is full of adventure, fun, relaxed in comparison to riding lessons yet, educational, structured & as safe as possible, social time with other youth all facilitated by the horses, Assistant coaches and Camp Coach. Camp riders are placed into groups according to age, experience & confidence during riding lessons & equestrian related learning activities during camp. A fun, positive & safe learning environment are key aspects within the DenMar camps!
We welcome all youth; boys & girls alike!
GENERAL INFORMATION:
- LEVEL: Beginner & Novice/Advanced riders welcome!
- AGE (S): 7 - 16 (unless student has prior riding experience)
- TIME: Drop off, 9:00 am - Pick up, 3:00 pm Sharp.
- BEFORE & AFTER CARE: $8.00 per an hour after 3:00 pm.
- DAY COST: $65.00 + hst
- 5 DAY PACKAGE I Monday – Friday: $315.00 + hst.
- REGISTER 2 or MORE SIBLINGS: receive $10.00 off packages.
- REFER A FRIEND: Receive $10.00 off your pack or day cost.
- Payment Due: Seven days before camp date. If payment is
late a $10.00 late fee is added to the account.

CAMP ACTIVITIES:
Varying on season, age, level and weather, but not limited to.
- One, level appropriate riding lesson daily
in the riding ring or out on a scenic trail ride threw our trails.
(^Riding lesson groups will be split to be level appropriate as needed by the Coach).
- Structured and safe as possible learning environment
- Learning safety and the basics about horses
- Confidence, leadership actives and driven
- Hands on learning
- Horsemanship & Sportsmanship
- Grooming horses/ponies
- Tacking up horses/ponies
- Basics of equine stable management
- Playing with the gentle, ever so goofy and cuddly Goats
- Hay wagon ride pulled by one of the Massey Fergusons
- Hiking, Berry picking & taking a look at animal tracks
- Basic equine anatomy
- Painting the horses (no really, we paint the horses!)
- Equestrian themed games like "Pony Pony"
- Water balloon games etc.
- Horse Cake making & Horse cookie baking
and so much more!
PACKING LIST: Please remember this can vary depending on Season & weather.
IF OWNED: Full Riding attire: ASTM helmet, boots, chaps, etc.
IF NOT, see the next suitable safe riding attire below 1 - 4.
1. Long flexible paints for riding (non see-threw)
2. Boots with a 1-1/2 inch heel with a good sole (for riding)
3. Weather appropriate clothing. All tops must cover the belly and the shoulders for safety around horses.
4. Use a DenMar Riding Helmet
- Complete change of cloths (shorts, socks, etc.)
- Running shoes (No sandals or flats)
- Winter: Snow paints/Winter Gloves/winter hat
- Jacket: Rain/Winter jacket
- Hat: Base ball/Sun hat
- Sun screen & Bug repellent
- Pack a lunch & snacks in environmentally friendly containers; no garbage to be left behind & use a reusable water bottle only.
- All rider’s belongings to come labeled with their name.
- Hand sanitizer
